Evaluation of teaching staff by students – second semester – academic year 2024-2025 (stage 2)

In accordance with The methodology regarding the implementation of the teaching staff evaluation process by students at the West University of Timișoara (UVT), approved by the University Senate, starting with this academic year, the process of evaluating teachers by students will take place every semester in 3 stages, so:

  • The first evaluation stage took place halfway through this semester (between March 31 and April 13, for students in their final years of study, and April 7-27, for students in their non-final years of study) and focused on the teaching activity carried out in the first half of the semester., and the results were made available to teachers on the platform evaluation.uvt.ro immediately after the end of the evaluation period (on April 14 and April 28, 2025, respectively), in the form of a general report containing the average of the grades obtained on each question following the student evaluations and the answers to the open questions;
  • the second evaluation stage takes place at the end of the semester, between May 26 and June 6, 2025, regarding the teaching activity carried out throughout the semester, and the results will be made available to teachers on the platform evaluation.uvt.ro after the completion of exam session C and the expiration of the deadline for transferring grades to the electronic catalog and the conclusion of the third evaluation stage, at the beginning of August;
  • the third evaluation stage will take place after the end of session B of each semester, regarding the manner in which the evaluation of the learning outcomes acquired by students throughout the semester and in the exam session was carried out, and the results will be made available to teachers after the completion of exam session C and the expiration of the deadline for transferring grades to the electronic catalog and the conclusion of the third evaluation stage, at the beginning of August. 

The evaluation of teachers by students will be done through the platform evaluation.uvt.ro, students logging in with their institutional account details @e-uvt.ro.

Until June 6 2025, you have the opportunity to evaluate all the teachers with whom you collaborated in the second semester of this academic year in teaching activities (courses, seminars or laboratories)For the second stage, the evaluation platform will close on the morning of June 7 2025, at 07:50.

Even though students authenticate on the platform with their email address and password, the evaluation of teachers by students is 100% anonymous, the answers being encrypted in such a way that the authors cannot be identified, thus we encourage students to answer all questions in the questionnaire as honestly as possible.

For each teaching activity they participate in this semester, students have to complete a single feedback questionnaire, which contains 10 closed questions and 3 open questions – 2 mandatory and one optional.In the case of the questionnaire applied at the end of each semester, in the second evaluation stage, there is an additional question that is addressed only to those students who responded to the evaluation questionnaire for that subject and in stage I of the evaluation process, mid-semester, through which we want to find out whether the feedback sent by the students had an impact on the teaching activity carried out by the teacher in the second part of the semester.

The evaluation process remains complex, in order to collect in-depth feedback from students, as well as to ensure that it has a relevant impact starting with the current semester, so we ask that you allocate the necessary time to complete all questionnaires. responsiblyEach evaluation questionnaire for a didactic activity can be completed separately, not having to complete all the questionnaires available on the platform at once, but being able to complete this activity in stages, over several days.

The purpose of teacher evaluation by students is to collect the opinions and feedback of the students regarding the educational process they are going through this semester, in order to improve the work of the teaching staff and the educational services offered by the Western University of Timișoara.

All teachers are required to allocate 10 minutes within all teaching activities they carry out during the period in which the evaluation platform is open, for students to complete the online evaluation questionnaires for the respective discipline. Teachers cannot interfere or influence the evaluation process.

If students encounter difficulties in the evaluation process or identify inconsistencies regarding the available questionnaires, we ask them to send us an email at edu@e-uvt.ro, accompanied by screenshots with any errors.

We encourage students to complete and as detailed evaluations as possible for all teaching activities they participate in this semester, assuring them of the confidentiality of the information submitted! Only by collecting students' opinions and collaborating will we be able to improve the quality of the educational process in UVT!
