In accordance with The methodology regarding the implementation of the teaching staff evaluation process by students at the West University of Timișoara (UVT), approved by the Decision of the Board of Directors of UVT no. 1 of 11.11.2024, starting this semester, the process of evaluating teaching staff by students will take place every semester in 3 stages, so:

the first evaluation stage will take place in weeks 7-8 of each semester, targeting the didactic activity carried out in the first half of the semester; the results will be made available to teachers immediately after the end of the evaluation period (starting with the 8th/9th week of the semester), in the form of a general report containing the average marks obtained for each question following the student evaluations and the answers to open questions, without mentioning their authors. The teaching staff will analyze the results of the evaluation process and will implement from the current semester, if necessary, those necessary improvements in the teaching process, taking into account the feedback sent by the students;

the second evaluation stage will take place in the last week of teaching activities of each semester (14th week), targeting the didactic activity carried out throughout the semester, and the results will be made available to the teaching staff after the end of the regulatory deadline for completing the grades in the electronic catalog related to session B of the respective semester;

the third stage of evaluation will take place after the end of session B related to each semester, aiming at the way in which the evaluation of the way in which the learning outcomes were acquired by students throughout the semester and in the exam session was carried out, and the results will be made available to the teaching staff after the end of the regulatory deadline for completing the grades in the electronic catalog related to session B of the respective semester.
Thus, the period of the first stage of the teacher evaluation process by the students of this semester this 14-24 November 2024.
The evaluation of teachers by students will be done through the platform evaluation.uvt.ro, logging in with your institutional account details @e-uvt.ro.
Until November 24 students have the opportunity to evaluate all the teaching staff with whom they collaborate in the first semester of this academic year (courses, seminars or laboratories).
The evaluation platform will close on the morning of November 25, 2024, at 07:50.
Even if on the platform students log in with their e-mail address and password, the evaluation of teachers by students is 100% anonymous, the answers being encrypted in such a way that the authors cannot be identified, so we encourage students to answer all the questions in the questionnaire as honestly as possible.

For each didactic activity in which they participate during this semester, students have to complete a single teacher evaluation questionnaire (10 closed questions and 3 open questions - 2 mandatory and one optional). The assessment process remains complex in order to collect in-depth feedback from students, so we kindly ask that you take the time to go through all the questionnaires responsibly. Each evaluation questionnaire for a didactic activity can be completed separately, not having to complete all the questionnaires available on the platform at once, but being able to complete this activity in stages, over several days.
The purpose of teacher evaluation by students is to collect the opinions and feedback of the students regarding the educational process they are going through this semester, in order to improve the work of the teaching staff and the educational services offered by the Western University of Timișoara.
All teachers have the obligation to allocate 10 minutes in all the teaching activities they carry out for students to complete the online assessment questionnaires for the respective discipline. Teachers cannot interfere or influence the evaluation process.

We encourage students to complete and as detailed evaluations as possible for all teaching activities they participate in this semester, assuring them of the confidentiality of the information submitted! Only by collecting students' opinions and collaborating will we be able to improve the quality of the educational process in UVT!
