Students enrolled in the 2024-2025 academic year in the first year of the bachelor's or master's degree cycle, can pick up student IDs for rail transport starting today, November 11 2024, InfoStudent Center of the faculty where they are enrolled.
To issue the student ID card for rail transport, students will have to show up at the Student Info Center with a photo of them in 3/4 format.
For students enrolled in faculties located in the UVT central building (bld. Vasile Pârvan no. 4), namely Faculty of Chemistry, Biology, Geography - Department of Geography, Faculty of Physical Education and Sport, Faculty of Physics, Faculty of Letters, History, Philosophy and Theology, Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science, Faculty of Sociology and Psychology, Faculty of Government and Communication Sciences, transport permits can be picked up from the Student Info Center (001 room).
Students enrolled in faculties that are not based in the UVT central building (Faculty of Chemistry, Biology, Geography – Department of Biology and Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Economics and Business Administration and Faculty of Music and Theater) can pick up their transport IDs from the Student Info Center located in the premises of the faculty where they are enrolled.
students Faculty of Arts and Design can pick up the transport IDs from the Student Info Center located in the premises of the Faculty of Music and Theatre, and the students Faculty of Law I can pick up the transport IDs from the Student Info Center temporarily located in the UVT headquarters on Oituz street no. 4.

The student ID is issued only personally, to its holder.
Student ID cards will only be issued to students who have signed the study contract. Thus, students will have to make sure that they have signed the study contract before presenting themselves at the Student Info Center to issue their student ID for rail transport.
We remind students that in accordance with the provisions Decision of the Government of Romania no. 811 of September 8, 2023 for the approval of the Methodological Norms regarding the granting of internal railway and metro transport facilities for pupils and students, students enrolled in higher education institutions in Romania, in university study programs at form of frequent education, regardless of nationality, aged up to 30 years ago, benefit of 90% off for domestic rail transport in all train categories, 2nd class, throughout the calendar year, regardless of the distance or travel routes. Students who are orphans or come from placement centers benefits from free domestic rail transport on all train categories, XNUMXnd class. This discount is granted on the basis student ID card for discount/free shipping issued by higher education institutions according to the model regulated by the Government Decision mentioned above.
We also remind students and that by the date of November 30 2024, for students in the first year of bachelor's, master's and doctorate university studies up to 30 years of age, enrolled in full-time university study programs, the discount on rail transport will also be granted on the basis of a certificates which certifies the student status issued by the higher education institution for the current academic year, which will temporarily replace the student ID card for rail transport, until it is issued.
