According to the The methodology regarding the method of assigning some IT devices to the students of the West University of Timișoara, UVT students from bachelor's, master's or doctoral study cycles can request the assignment of an IT device (laptop) for free use, if they don't have such a device, for teaching activities.
Requests are sent to UVT by completing them the general application form, and these are solved at the end of each week, in the order in which they were formulated, agreeing priority for students who are beneficiaries of a social scholarship.
After analyzing requests to assign an IT device, UVT communicates the resolution on the request sent by e-mail to the students' institutional e-mail address who registered such a request, depending on the number of IT devices available.
After receiving the resolution, students can present themselves within 5 working days at the IT & C Service within UVT for signing the loan agreement in duplicate and for picking up the assigned device.
If the device is not picked up within the previously mentioned term, the student to whom the IT device was assigned is deprived of the right to pick up that device. In order to be able to take possession of it, the student must formulate a new request for the assignment of an IT device, according to the procedure in the methodology.
Students who have been assigned an IT device for free use can use itno more than 7 days after taking the final exam for bachelor's, master's or doctoral studies, according to the calendar established at the level of each faculty/doctoral school. At the end of this term, the beneficiaries of the IT devices have the obligation to return them to UVT, without the need for a prior notification to this effect by UVT.
