Re-examination in order to increase the grade and take the outstanding exams

According to regulations The Code of Student Rights and Obligations and the Regulation on the Professional Activity of UVT Bachelor's and Master's Degree Students, each student has the right, based on individual request, to be re-examined in order to increase the grade, maximum 3 subjects per semester, respectively six per year, regardless of whether he is full-time or not at the time, provided he has passed the exams related to the respective disciplines.

Grade increase exams are held in session B related to each semester, respectively in session C, in free regime, based on applications submitted by students to Student Info Center, through a specific form completed with at least two working days before the date established by the structure of the academic year for the start of the exam session in which he will participate in the evaluation.

In the case of students from final years, considering the structure of the exam sessions, by exception from the aforementioned provision, applications may be submitted until at least two working days before the date fixed for taking the exam.

Thus, for session B-II, requests for re-examination in order to increase grades from the second semester of this academic year can be submitted:

  • until the latest 2 working days before the exam, for final year students;
  • until the latest Wednesday, July 5, 2023, for students in all years of study, except the final years, the session B-II taking place between 10 and 16.07.2023.

Applications are submitted online, through TO THIS FORM. If a student submits a re-examination request in order to increase the grade and does not appear for the respective exam, it is considered that he has benefited from one of the regulatory possibilities to access this right.
Exams to increase the grade cannot be taken for subjects studied in previous years, and each student can take only one exam to increase the grade in the same discipline.

If a student obtains a grade lower than the initial grade in the grade increase exam, the examining teacher will note the grade obtained in the first examination in the electronic catalog.

Outstanding exams from previous years

We also remind you that students who have outstanding exams from previous years and want to support them in session B-II must pay the reexamination fee in the amount of 100 lei/exam until the latest 2 working days before the exam (in the case of students from the final years), respectively until at the latest on5July 2023 (for students from all years of study, except for the terminal years).

For taking outstanding exams from previous years no application is required, but only the payment of the aforementioned fee.

If a student does not appear for an exam for which a paid the reexamination fee, this will be able to be used for presentation in another exam session from the same academic year, the same discipline. Reexamination fees paid it is not refundable.

Outstanding exams from the current academic year

Students who have outstanding exams in subjects studied in the current semester, respectively those who have recontracted disciplines at the beginning of the academic year (and paid the related fees) can take the exams in session B-II free of charge, without having to submit any application.

In order to participate in the re-examination for an outstanding subject, each student must have completed the minimum standards provided in the discipline sheet which allows the presentation to the exam. Otherwise, if the student did not meet these standards at the time he took the course, it must be recontracted in the following academic year (this process is ongoing before the start of the academic year).
