Doctor Honoris Causa Litterarum Humaniorum
Pascal bruckner
A complex personality, Pascal Bruckner is difficult to fit into a certain category of writers or philosophers, because here too we touch on sensitive points.
It is enough to access any site on the Internet dedicated to the general presentation of his personality, to come across a curious piece of information through repetition: we thus learn that Pascal Bruckner is a Catholic, from a Christian, mixed, Protestant-Catholic family, and that his- he completed his primary and secondary education in the Catholic school system. Until we take his books in hand, we do not understand the stake of these clarifications. Long after his debut in the mass press and first-rate publishing houses, Pascal Bruckner was considered a "Jewish intellectual", and he gladly assumed this classification.

Honorary Doctorate
Litterarum Humaniorum Mr. Andrei Pleșu
Undoubtedly, in Romanian culture, Andrei Pleșu often reminds us of Augustine's teaching, sometimes explicitly, sometimes implicitly, through his erudite naturalness, one of the distinctive notes of his Lordship's charisma. When he writes pamphlets or remembers the formative meetings, in the moral observations and in the very personal religious hermeneutics that he has become accustomed to, in the presence in the mass media and in civic initiatives, in his journals and in his capacity as a teacher, Andrei Pleșu follows the same requirement ancient, not obsolete: good action requires discernment, but it would be a bitter delusion to think that you can think well without controlling your speech.

Talking about Constantin Chiriac is an audacity that can be paid dearly. How can you describe in words this great initiate, "possessed" by what Plato called "mania", that is, "divine madness". Sven-Georg Adenauer
Konrad Adenauer once said that "we all live under the same sky, but we do not all have the same horizon". This philosophical thought that hides a sad truth, if we think about the European crisis, can be overcome if we return to common values and if together we try to develop the unity we need so much. In the Western University of Timișoara we cultivate the culture of unity and fraternity, a culture that we pass on with each generation of graduates. Your example makes us stronger and more confident in our European future!
