West University of Timişoara (UVT), through Institute for Advanced Environmental Research (ICAM), hosts the second edition of the National Workshop for the presentation of the results obtained by the National Research and Development Institutes (INCDs) on September 3–4, 2025. The event is organized by the National Research Authority (ANC) and the Consultative College for Research, Development and Innovation (CCCDI), in collaboration with UVT and ICAM.
The official opening of the conference took place this morning, with the participation of prominent figures from academia and research. The opening speech of the UVT rector, prof. univ. dr. Marilen Gabriel Pirtea, was delivered by prof. univ. dr. Mădălin Bunoiu, vice-rector of UVT and president of CCCDI. Also delivering speeches were prof. univ. dr. Dana Petcu, director of ICAM, dr. Andrei Alexandru, president of ANC, and prof. univ. dr. Tudor Prisecaru, vice-president of ANC.
The day's agenda included two plenary sessions dedicated to presenting notable results achieved by the NCRIs in the period 2021–2025, followed by thematic parallel sessions. Networking breaks provided the framework for dialogue and the initiation of collaborations between researchers, academics and institute representatives.
The conference continues tomorrow, September 4, with new plenary and parallel sessions, during which recent achievements and development directions in various scientific and technological fields of strategic interest for Romania will be presented.
