The end of the project "Learning in emotionally vulnerable people" (LEARNVUL)

- Press release -

The LEARNVUL team announces the end of the project LEARNING IN EMOTIONALLY VULNERABLE PEOPLE. This Twinning project was funded by the HORIZON 2020 Research and Innovation Program, supported by the European Union, under Grant number 952464.

Within the project, the West University of Timișoara was the project leader, with Milan-Bicocca University (Italy) and Ghent University (Belgium) as partners. With a budget of 900.000 euros, the project aimed to increase the scientific performance and research management capacity of UVT, by twinning a research team in psychology from UVT, coordinated by Prof. Univ. Dr. Florin Alin Sava, with two teams with top scientific performances from the partner universities.

Over the course of three years (October 2020 – September 2023), members of the three teams published part of their research investigating how certain people come to exhibit high emotional vulnerability, with another part of the articles to be published in the coming months. In addition to the joint research projects carried out during the three years, there were numerous exchanges of experience and training courses available for young researchers in the project, as well as support measures for experienced researchers completed by coordinating a special issue in a web journal of Science from the red zone, as well as grant writing supervision activity.

All these measures are intended to support the transformation of a team of psychology researchers into an international pole of excellence on a topic at the intersection of psychopathology, learning and personality psychology.
