West University of Timisoara (UVT) has the great pleasure of inviting you, on Monday, November 10, 2025, at 10:00 AM, to the inauguration of the new Journalism Laboratory within UVT, a television and podcast studio, a space for creation, training and inspiration dedicated to future generations of communicators, journalists and content creators in Romania.
Designed to the highest technical standards, the Journalism Lab is the only fully equipped university media production space in the west of the country, comparable to nationally renowned television sets. It offers an authentic TV and digital production experience, from the conception of shows and podcasts to the creation of multimedia formats for the online environment.
The Journalism Laboratory plays a significant role in training future journalists within the Faculty of Governance and Communication Sciences, significantly contributing to improving the quality of education in the field of journalism. Such a laboratory offers students practical opportunities and real experiences that prepare them for the professional challenges of a constantly changing media industry. The new Journalism Laboratory thus becomes a center of excellence for training opinion leaders and media professionals of the future, a space where creativity, academic rigor and technological innovation meet in a unique formula, in which interaction with media personalities as trainers plays a particularly important role.
The Journalism Laboratory was created within the framework of the projects "Quality higher education: Endowment, modernization and rehabilitation of the infrastructure of the West University of Timișoara" (SMIS code 327248) and "Equipping the infrastructure of the West University of Timisoara in accordance with the needs of the labor market" (SMIS code 327277), co-financed by the European Union, through ADR West as Managing Authority for the West Regional Program 2021-2027.
