On November 8, 2025, the West University of Timișoara invites the public to a conference held by Cristian Presură, physicist, researcher, inventor and author.
The event, titled "Latest Discoveries of the James Webb Space Telescope. The Mystery of the First Galaxies", will take place in the Aula Magna, from 17:00 PM. Cristian Presură will present the latest observations and results obtained by the James Webb Space Telescope, developed by NASA, the European Space Agency (ESA) and the Canadian Space Agency (CSA).
The James Webb Space Telescope enables a wide range of investigations in the fields of astronomy and cosmology, including observations of some of the most distant events and objects in the Universe.
During the conference, we will explore how new discoveries are changing our understanding of the formation of the Universe, as well as the new scientific questions they raise regarding the origin and evolution of the first galaxies.
The conference will be moderated by Associate Professor Dr. Mădălin Bunoiu, UVT vice-rector responsible for RDI strategy, sustainability, technology transfer and relations with the diaspora.
Admission is free, subject to availability. Please reserve a seat using the registration form available here: https://forms.gle/AWQNQ5CNBFEcK5pF8
