First position at national level for UVT
UVT is also present this year in the list made by Shanghai Jiao Tong University in China with the Physics sub-field, occupying the first position at the national level and being in the top 301-400 worldwide (out of 500 universities in the world).
ShanghaiRanking's Global Ranking of Academic Subjects 2021 ranks the world's universities in 54 related science fields. Only eight Romanian universities are present in this top, three of which are members of the University Consortium: the University of the West in Timișoara, the Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca and the University of Bucharest. Worldwide, more than 1800 of the 4000 universities were ranked, coming from 93 countries in the world.
classification ShanghaiRanking's Global Ranking of Academic Subjects, developed by Shanghai Jiao Tong University in China, was published in 2009 in a first edition and is one of the best rated internationally, representing a point of reference in the strategies of universities that want to be international actors in academic environment.
