Probably for most of us the context of the last year has led to an increase in the number of hours spent online. Well, in addition to the potential mental exhaustion caused by focusing most of the time only on a screen of about 13-15 inches, sometimes even more than 8 hours a day, the emotional drain and a bad mood can be including messages received from different people.
The online environment, the one that has become in the pandemic context almost the only way to connect with others, it can become a hostile environment, with a major impact on our well-being. Thus, the team Career Counseling and Guidance Center from West University of Timişoara (CCOC-UVT) invites you to a new webinar, which will address the topic Cyberbullying – more than just words on a screen.
In this webinar we will understand together that:
- the phenomenon of cyberbullying (online harassment) is present not only among teenagers, but also among adults;
- there are several forms of manifestation of this type of harassment;
- cyberbullying can have various negative consequences, sometimes without being aware of them;
- there are strategies you can use to avoid becoming a victim;
- if you are going through or have gone through such an experience, you can follow a number of steps to deal with the situation.
Thus, regardless of whether cyberbullying is a personal problem or you are just aware of the seriousness of the situation and the scope of this phenomenon, we invite you to participate with us, Tuesday, April 27 2021, starting with at 14:40, in this webinar where we will learn how to identify and combat these practices.
