Between March 31 and April 2, 2025, we enjoyed the visit of a group of students and teachers from Belgium, Hogeschool VIVES, Faculty of Educational Sciences, specializations Primary Education Pedagogy and Preschool Education Pedagogy.
The mobility project is in its second edition and is the product of a partnership with the Department of Educational Sciences, Faculty of Sociology and Psychology, West University of Timişoara. The partnership targeted both the university and pre-university environment through participation in activities organized by the Banat National College of Timişoara, the Extended Program Kindergarten No. 32 of Timişoara, the Giarmata Middle School, the Cerneteaz School, the Kenosis Education Association and the Seeds of Kenosis Association.
It was an excellent opportunity to comparatively analyze, in real contexts, the two educational systems specific to Romania and Belgium, through examples specific to different school cycles in urban and rural areas, in vulnerable areas or educational institutions located in the central area of the city.
The extracurricular educational projects (Romanian traditions exemplified through clothing and culinary arts, the robotics club, the marking of International Bird Day, the project Teach with Space), as well as activities carried out through the integration of technology and digital education.
We thank the management teams of the educational institutions that facilitated the study visit, the teachers involved in organizing the activities, and the volunteer students of the Primary and Preschool Education Pedagogy specialization, UVT!
