A large-scale event and a substantial opportunity for Romania to promote its natural and cultural resources, EXPO 2020 Dubai is a good opportunity for UVT to contribute to the promotion of Timisoara from a cultural perspective, because in 2023, when our city will be the European Capital of Culture, Timișoara can be a tourist destination not only for Europeans, but for visitors from all over the world.
Thus, UVT participates in the promotion stand of Romania, organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as part of EXPO 2020 Dubai, which takes place between October 1, 2021 and March 31, 2022, with the participation of 25 million visitors and over 190 official participants . Our institution is represented by a group of students of the Faculty of Music and Theater - Lăpuște Dora, Bahnaru Eunice Iulia, Lázár Katalin -, who will perform a series of concerts in the pavilion.
Expo 2020 Dubai's theme "Connecting Minds, Creating the Future" expresses a global need for collaboration to inspire future generations to develop partnerships across organizations, industries and geographies, and to better address the needs of a world constantly changing.
Inspired by the balance found in natural ecosystems, New Nature, Romania's concept at EXPO 2020 Dubai aims to present the set of interrelationships between the environment, resources, people and communities which, interconnected, can ensure a balanced structure, an ideal dynamic, good functioning and new opportunities for sustainable development: local, regional and global. The entire experience within the pavilion represents a strategic approach that will offer the visitor a set of opportunities to connect, through digital tools and mobile applications, to Romania's cultural and natural heritage.
