Faculty of Economics and Business Administration from the West University of Timișoara is pleased to announce the launch event of the new MBA (Master of Business Administration) program, organized within the partnership between the West University of Timișoara (UVT) and the University of West London (UWL), which will take place Thursday, June 19, 2025, starting at 16:30 p.m., at the Verdi Hall of Iulius Congress Hall.
Representatives of the partner institutions will be present at the event. The UVT leadership will be represented by Prof. Dr. Marilen Pirtea, the UVT rector, and the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration will be represented by its dean, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Claudiu Boțoc, along with professors and researchers from the humanities. The University of West London (UWL) will be represented by Suresh Gamlath, Pro Vice-Chancellor Business Development and Partnerships, and Stefan Straluciuc, Project Manager. The dialogue organized on June 19 by UVT, together with UWL, enjoys the support of the Romanian Embassy in the United Kingdom, represented by Her Excellency, Ambassador Laura Popescu. The event offers participants the opportunity to engage in dialogue about the career opportunities offered by specializing in business administration and to interact directly with professors and program coordinators.
The new master's program will offer a unique opportunity in the west of the country, being the only full-time MBA in this region, aimed at middle management, with a minimum of five years of professional experience, specialists who want to advance to senior management positions and/or change their career, without the need for a significant interruption in their professional life. All courses will be held in Timisoara, and graduates will be double certified, with an MBA degree from UWL and a Master's degree from UVT. The disciplines will be taught by experts from both academia and business, professors from WUT and UWL, as well as professionals from the private and public sectors.
