The Western University of Timișoara is implementing, between November 2024 and October 2026, the project "Training through Internships or Internships Relevant for quality JOBs - INSPIRE JOB” (code 302424). The project, financed by the Education and Employment Program (PEO), call for projects PEO/71/PEO_P7/OP4/ESO4.5/PEO_A49, has the main purpose of supporting 400 UVT students in carrying out internships and internships at employers public and private, strengthening the link between academia and the labor market.
The duration of the project is 24 months, starting on November 1, 2024 and ending on October 31, 2026. The total value of the project is 3.964.361,03 lei, of which non-refundable funding amounts to 3.885.073,46 lei (3.369.706,88 .515.366,58 lei EU contribution and 79.287,57 lei co-financing from the national budget), and the own contribution is XNUMX lei.
General objective and specific objectives:
- Developing a system of long-term partnerships between the university and employers by concluding at least 10 new partnerships with public and private employers and strengthening the existing ones in the areas of professional training of the 400 students in the target group in order to train key professional skills correlated with the current needs of the labor market.
- The training of key professional skills for 400 students of the Western University of Timișoara by participating in effective internships or internships carried out within the partnerships established by the project.
- Increasing the relevance of the education and training system for the labor market through the participation of at least 344 students in learning sessions that raise awareness of horizontal themes and contribute to the formation of entrepreneurial, digital, socio-emotional skills and the application of green and circular economy principles.
Benefits for students and partners:
- 400 students of our university, members of the GT, will carry out internships/internships in their fields of professional training at public or private employers as a result of newly established or consolidated partnerships with employers;
- The 400 students, by participating in internships, will form specific current skills required by employers and will thus be able to find a job appropriate to their professional training;
- By participating in specific training sessions offered within the project, students also develop entrepreneurial, digital, socio-emotional skills and the application of green and circular economy principles and are aware of horizontal themes;
- Long-term partnerships are concluded, and existing partnerships with public and private employers are strengthened in the fields of student professional training, which ensures real and effective cooperation between our university and employers, resulting in the development of educational programs in line with needs specific of the different branches of the economy and in accordance with technological evolution, sustainable development and the requirements of adaptations to climate change.
The main expected results of the project are:
- 400 students supported in terms of professional training by participating in internships;
- 344 students supported in their professional training by participating in at least one of the information sessions on horizontal themes and DNSH, respectively in the training sessions on digital, socio-emotional, entrepreneurial skills, or on the application of green and circular economy principles;
- 300 students from the target group successfully complete the internship program improving their level of education;
- the development of the partnership system of the Western University of Timișoara with 10 new public and private employers for the implementation of student internships
