UVT develops its didactic model through a competitive process for accessing the RCL Didactic Grants

The Western University of Timișoara is concerned with the identification and development of the most advanced models of growth and transformative evolution of the education process. In this context, the UVT community believes that the development of an institutional vision on the approach to the educational process is a priority strategic direction of the university.

Thus, in the last two years, a training model called Reflective - Collaborative Learning Model (RCL) was developed. This reflexive-collaborative model of training fits into the paradigm of student-centered education and is developed by combining three educational concepts (collective teacher efficacy, collaborative learning and reflexive learning) with a strong effect on students' academic results. The strategic objective of this endeavor is to stimulate deep learning for UVT students. In order to implement this reflexive-collaborative training model, UVT supports its integration by university teaching staff through a competitive system of RCL Teaching Grants.

The first part of this program took place last year, and this year the competition is financed by the project "CNFIS-FDI-2021-0460 UVT – Teaching and learning brand: Reflective & Collaborative Learning into action” and involves the granting of 20 teaching grants worth 5.000 lei each.

The application for obtaining the 20 didactic grants is carried out by submitting a didactic activity project using the RCL model (with large groups or small study groups), following which the 20 selected applications will be implemented within a subject to be taught in the following semester of the current academic year (or in the next semester in which the teaching grant winner has teaching activity).
