The Western University of Timișoara and the "Sever Bocu" Press Museum in Jimbolia are excited to announce the organization of the fourth edition of "Petre Stoica" Literary Creation Camp. This event, dedicated to young writers passionate about prose, poetry and essays, offers them a unique opportunity to develop their skills and learn from established authors in the field.
The "Petre Stoica" Literary Creation Camp will take place during the period September 25-29, 2024, both in Jimbolia and in Timișoara. During the camp, nine young writers will participate in creative writing workshops, having the opportunity to interact and learn from renowned authors.
The camp program also includes cultural events open to the community. They will take place between September 26-28, 2024, every day from 19:00, in the courtyard of the "Petre Stoica" Memorial House in Jimbolia. The public is invited to the following events:
- Thursday, 26.09.2024: there will be an exhibition of paintings by the artist Andrei Bledea, followed by the screening of the documentary "Timișoara. The secret map: people and places" (50 min) and a dialogue between Adriana Babeți and Alex Condrache.
- Friday, 27.09.2024: the public will be able to witness a dialogue between Mircea Baniciu and Adriana Babeți, entitled "Provincial joys", which will be followed by a Mircea Baniciu concert.
- Saturday, 28.09.2024: there will be a dialogue between Marcel Tolcea and Adrian Bodnaru, entitled "Poe, zi-le!".
The "Petre Stoica" literary creation camp for young writers is organized by the Western University of Timișoara and the "Sever Bocu" Press Museum. The event is carried out with the help of partners: Jimbolia City Culture House, Colț de Banat and Jimbolia Television. The event is co-financed by Jimbolia City Hall.
The project is part of the national cultural program "Timișoara - European Capital of Culture in 2023" and is financed by the Timișoara.Next program, run by the Timiș County Culture and Art Center, with amounts allocated from the state budget, through the Ministry's budget Cultures and co-financed by AFCN.
