The "Sever Bocu" Press Museum in Jimbolia and the West University of Timișoara organize, during September 24-27, 2025, the fifth edition of the "Petre Stoica" Literary Creation Camp. The event is supported by the City Hall and the Local Council of Jimbolia and will bring together nine young writers – poets, prose writers and essayists – who will participate in creative writing workshops and have access to a diverse cultural program, open to the general public.
The creative writing workshops, hosted by the "Petre Stoica" Memorial House (Jimbolia, Emmerich Bartzer Street, no. 14), will be supported by writers Radu Pavel Gheo, Alexandru Potcoavă and Mădălina Aldescu. In addition to the working sessions, participants will benefit from guided tours in Jimbolia, having the opportunity to learn about local history and culture, with September 24 being entirely dedicated to discovering the city's identity.

Thursday, September 25
- 18:30 – Meeting with artist Deian Berar and the “Omnilateral Dimensions” Installation
- 19:00 – The debate "When artists experiment and scientists dream", with the participation of guests Mircea Mihăieș, Mădălin Bunoiu, Camil Mihăescu and Marcel Tolcea.
Friday, September 26
- 17:30 – Presentation of the book "Jimbolia. Orânduri în transformare", with the participation of guests Reinhard Johler, Olivia Spiridon, Daniela Simon and Walter Tonța. Later, the book "Experiențele unui american în Torontal", by Karl Hell, translated by Filip Krčmar, will also be presented.
- 19:30 – Concert by the band JazzyBit.
Saturday, September 27
- 19:00 – The event "Dialogue in a major key: literature meets opera", held by Cristian Rudic and Marcel Tolcea.

About Petre Stoica and the "Petre Stoica" Memorial House
The event pays tribute to the memory and work of the writer Petre Stoica (1931-2009), a prominent figure in contemporary Romanian literature, also known for promoting the values contained in Romanian and German culture. His work, which included poetry, prose and translations, brought him numerous distinctions, including multiple awards from the Romanian Writers' Union. The creative camp takes place at the memorial house that bears his name, a space of exceptional cultural and historical value.
