"Symphony of Hope" – charity concert to support single mothers, offered by the Symphony Orchestra and young soloists from the Faculty of Music and Theater of UVT

Wednesday, April 1, 2026, 19:00 PM, in the Capitol Hall of the Banat Philharmonic in Timișoara, Faculty of Music and Theater within West University of Timisoara (UVT) invites the public to "Symphony of Hope" – a symphonic concert for charitable purposes, dedicated to supporting the "Adopt a single mother" campaign, initiated by the Look Inside Association and coordinated by Miclea Alina Elena.

"This concert is, for me, more than an event – ​​it is a bridge between souls. It is proof that when people come together with good intentions, they can change destinies. For the mothers in the “Adopt a Single Mother” program, every gesture means hope, and for me and the Look Inside Association, it means that we are not alone in this mission to do good.” – says Miclea Alina Elena, coordinator of the “Adopt a single mother” project.

The Symphony Orchestra of the Faculty of Music and Theatre will perform on stage, alongside young soloists Timeea Ardelean, Lucas Kohl, Timea Maghiari, Gabriela Moisa, Denis Mocuța, Riana Savu and Eduard Miclea. The concert will be conducted by maestro Christian Câșleanu.

"The Faculty of Music and Theatre of the University of Târgu Mureș is concerned with training high-quality artists, as well as people of character, who adhere to the noble values ​​of humanity, such as solidarity, empathy, generosity, and care for those in need. This charity concert, organized on the initiative of the director of the Department of Music, associate professor Dr. Rodica-Ortensia Zeman, inaugurates a series of such actions that aim to enhance the beauty of music and the mastery of young artists in order to bring the general public closer to significant social causes. We thank the Banat Philharmonic for the good collaboration and valuable support"- declares the dean of FMT - associate professor Dr. Cătălina Ancuța.

  • CPE Bach – Flute Concerto in D minor, Part III
     Soloist: Gabriela Moisa – flute
  • E. Elgar – Cello Concerto, Part III
     Soloist: Denis Mocuta – cello
  • A. Dvořák – Violin Concerto, Part I
     Soloist: Timeea Ardelean – violin
  • Franz & Karl Doppler – Fantasy on themes from the opera “Rigoletto” by Giuseppe Verdi
     Soloists: Riana Savu and Eduard Miclea – flute

"Symphony of Hope" proposes an evening in which music becomes a gesture of solidarity, and the talent and energy of young musicians transform into a powerful message of empathy and support for the community.

Public access is free, within the limit of available seats in the hall. The public is invited to contribute directly to this cause, through donations made on site, thus supporting single mothers who need concrete help.

About the Symphony Orchestra of the Faculty of Music and Theatre – UVT

The Orchestra of the Faculty of Music and Theater of the Western University of Timișoara is an ensemble made up of young musicians in the stage of professional training. Over the years, masters such as Sabin Pautza, Remus Georgescu, Gheorghe Costin, Jean François Antonioli, Dorin Frandeș and Peter Oschanitzky have been at the orchestra's lectern. The ensemble performed at the "Musical Timișoara" International Festival or in important halls such as the "Auditorium Parco della Musica - Sala Petrassi" in Rome.

About Christian Câșleanu – conductor

The young conductor Christian Câșleanu was born in Germany, into a family with a musical tradition of Romanian origin, and began playing the piano at a young age.

Over time, he has conducted symphony orchestras such as the Rheinische Philarmonie Koblenz, Würtembergisches Kammerorchester Heilbronn, Sinfonieorchester Aachen (Germany), Limburgs Symfonie Orkest (Netherlands), Balkan Symphony Orchestra (Italy), Filamonica Mihail Jora Bacău, Filarmonica Banatul Timișoara, Filarmonica Moldova Iași, Filarmonica de State Târgu Mureș, Filarmonica Paul Constantinescu – Ploiesti and Camerata Regală Bucharest.

Christian specialized in the opera repertoire, from major lyrical works to contemporary works. He worked at theaters such as the Bonn Opera, Aachen, Düsseldorf, Lüneburg (Germany), the Opera national de Lorraine in Nancy (France), the Zuyd Opera Maastricht and the Bucharest National Opera.

He obtained two bachelor's degrees in orchestral conducting and piano at the Maastricht Conservatory (Netherlands), where he studied with professors Enrico Delamboye, Jan Stulen and Thomas Dorsch (conducting) and Katia Veekmans (piano). In addition, he specialized in orchestral conducting, completing his master's studies at the same institute with Arjan Tien.

At the same time, he perfected his studies with Per Borin (Musikhochschule Stuttgart) and Ovidiu Bălan (European Academy of Arts). In addition, he attended the following master classes with: Jorma Panula, Sylvain Cambreling, Christian Ehwald, Sigmund Thorp, Martin Akerwall, Dr. Peter Ettrop Larsen, Enrique Garcia Asensio and Cristian Măcelaru.

Recently, he worked as assistant conductor to maestro Cristian Măcelaru with the Staatskapelle Berlin, DSO Berlin, Orchestre National de France, Dresden Philharmaronie and regularly works with the WDR Symphony Orchestra in Cologne.

Since February 2024, Christian Câșleanu is an assistant professor at the Faculty of Music and Theatre, West University of Timișoara.

About the "Adopt a Single Mother" project

"Adopt a single mother" is a social project, initiated and coordinated by Miclea Alina Elena, for over 10 years, which supports mothers in difficulty to rebuild their lives. Through concrete help, hot meals and constant support, the project offers stability and the chance for a new beginning. Over 306 mothers have been supported, and most have managed to rebuild their lives.
