With a significant and constant presence in the local community, the West University of Timisoara announces a new premiere for the socio-economic life of the western region, by opening the first kindergarten institutionally associated with a university community. "Smart Start UVT" extended daycare center will open its doors for the 2025-2026 school year, with a pre-registration period that will be between July 07 and 15, 2025.

Innovative educational strategies

The establishment of the "Smart Start UVT" Extended Program Kindergarten aims to bring a model of excellence in early education, based on research and evidence-based practice, while encouraging the harmonious development of children through playful pedagogy. The vision of the Kindergarten of the West University of Timișoara is to provide quality education, adapted to the needs of each child, which integrates the best educational practices based on evidence, the application of educational strategies based on research and innovative approaches in early education, such as those of the ""playful pedagogy" and "learning by doing".

Collaborative vision and social partnership

The kindergarten is committed to promoting and cultivating values ​​of sustainable education and encouraging integrated learning, so as to contribute to the harmonious development of children and the early formation of future responsible and active citizens in the community. UVT will aim to promote a close partnership between the kindergarten and the family, between the UVT community and the extended community, to ensure a collaborative, participatory and stimulating educational framework will be permanent concerns of the kindergarten.

Integrated Center for Training and Innovation in Early Childhood Education

The new kindergarten assumes the formation of a generation of balanced and responsible children, by creating an innovative educational environment, in which each child is supported to reach their maximum potential, learning through play in an active, creative and sustainable way. The university kindergarten will promote research-based teaching practices, capitalizing on the transfer of expertise brought by university teaching staff, UVT researchers, but also direct collaboration with Integrated Center for Training and Innovation in Early Childhood Education, a research and innovation group of the UVT academic community.
