The Faculty of Arts and Design of the West University of Timișoara (UVT), in partnership with the Art Encounters Foundation and the Jecza Gallery, is organizing two landmark events in June, dedicated to celebrating the pedagogical and artistic legacy of the SIGMA group — an essential collective in the development of contemporary art and interdisciplinary artistic education in Timișoara.
The SIGMA Group, active in the 70s and 80s, left a profound mark on generations of artists and teachers, promoting values such as experiment, collaboration, visual research, and the use of new technologies in education — principles that continue to structure artistic training in Timișoara to this day.

The event brings together prominent figures from the local and national art scene in a dialogue about the impact of experimental pedagogy promoted by SIGMA, from the High School of Fine Arts in Timișoara to the Faculty of Arts and Design of the University of Turda.

- Exhibition: "Pedagogical Experiments" / June 11 – 16, 10.00:18.00-4:XNUMX / Mansarda Gallery, Faculty of Arts and Design, University of Timisoara / XNUMX Oituz Street, Timisoara
The exhibition proposes a visual mapping of the influence of SIGMA pedagogy, reflected in the works of current students of FAD UVT, coordinated by a team of teacher-artists who carry forward the experimental and collaborative spirit of the group.
