The end of May is the occasion for the organization of the traditional "UnisportVest" sports weeks at the Western University of Timișoara (UVT), a program in which students and university students from UVT participate in dozens of competitions, in team or individual sports, but also in related events, organized by the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport (FEFS). As in previous years, UVT promotes leisure sports among students, encouraging them to live an active lifestyle, where recreation, good mood, competitiveness and fair play are in the foreground.
Between May 23 and 27, UVT's sports facilities will host sports games such as football, handball, basketball, volleyball or beach volleyball, complemented by competitions in field tennis, athletics, swimming or badminton. In addition, a bike ride will be organized as part of the "Pedalati cu familia UVT" race (on May 26, from 13 p.m., starting in front of UVT, V.Pârvan no. 4), and on May 27 there will be the 15th edition of the FEFS Student Conference (starting at 9 a.m., in hybrid format, Hall 028 UVT and online). Now in its XNUMXth edition, the "UnisportVest" sports week is an event that aims to increase the impact of practicing sports activities among students. The numerous actions and demonstrations, carried out over five days, will take the university campus out of the routine, giving students the opportunity to practice movement in the open air, in the spirit of competition.
