The Western University of Timișoara, in partnership with the Embassy of Sweden in Bucharest and Guerilla Verde, organizes a series of events dedicated to sustainability and good Swedish practices, within the Timișoara Ideas Fest, a large-scale project dedicated to ideas and people who inspire communities.
Friday, October 14, will mark at UVT a day dedicated to the importance of protecting the environment under the theme "Connections, intersections, perspectives: the Swedish model in sustainability". HE Therese Hyden, Sweden's ambassador to Romania, will be present at the events. Participants will be invited to debate challenging ideas and propose solutions for a more sustainable city, with green cultural events.
"It is necessary for sustainability to become a pillar in the development of the city, both culturally and socio-economically. That is why the Western University of Timișoara aims to bring models of best practices and special guests to the public space", says the rector of UVT, Marilen Pirtea.
The activities will take place in the entrance hall and in A01, according to the following schedule:
10.30 - 11.00 - Opening of the ReWaste Exhibition – an exhibition with examples of good practice from Swedish society regarding waste management and its transformation into resources.
11.00 – 11.45 – Debate: Sustainable Practices from Swedish Companies in Romania
