On the weekend of September 27-28, 2025, Timișoara will host UVT Liberty Marathon, a large-scale event, now in its eighth edition, involving thousands of participants and an extended route that crosses central areas of the city. For the safety of the runners and the smooth running of the competition, the Timișoara City Hall and the organizers of the UVT Liberty Marathon will establish several temporary traffic restrictions, applied gradually depending on the stages of the competition.

🔸 Iancu Huniade Square + the sector between Iancu Huniade Square and the roundabout at the intersection with Michelangelo Street (both directions)
🔸 20 Decembrie 1989 Street (both directions)
🔸 King Ferdinand I Blvd. (the sector from the Capitol Summer Garden to the Mihai Viteazu Bridge)

Traffic will be gradually restricted, depending on the activities and stages of the race. We recommend that residents and visitors of Timisoara use alternative routes and follow the instructions of the Traffic Police and volunteers in the field.
