International "Double Degree" program, for the first time at the Faculty of Law of UVT, in collaboration with the University of Turin

Starting from the 2024-2025 academic year, Faculty of Law of the West University of Timișoara (UVT) organizes, in collaboration with Faculty of Law of the University of Turin (UNITO), a new integrated study program, with a double bachelor's degree and master's degree in European and international law. Università degli Studi di Torino and the West University of Timișoara are partners within the European University Alliance UNITA. Università degli Studi di Torino is one of the most prestigious universities in Italy, recognized among others for its study and research programs in the fields of comparative law, international law and European law.

The official launch event of this new program will take place at the West University of Timișoara (V. Pârvan, no. 4) on Monday, June 16, 2025, at 11:00 am, in Amphitheater A01, in the presence of representatives of the two organizing institutions, the diplomatic corps and the faculty's partners.

The integration of university studies aims, at the level of the two universities, at the following bachelor's and master's programs: at the West University of Timișoara, the bilingual bachelor's program (Romanian-English) in European and international law, lasting 4 years, and the master's program in English European Union Law, lasting 1 year; at the Università degli Studi di Torino, the undergraduate program in English Global Law and Transnational Legal Studies, lasting 3 years, and the master's program in English European Legal Studies, lasting 2 years. Enrolling in integrated university study programs with a view to obtaining a double bachelor's and master's degree will allow selected students to pursue international academic paths, based on long-term mobility internships (mobilities that will total 2 years out of the 5 years of studies).
