"The Herder Prize in Memories and History" – a dialogue about culture, memory and Europe

The West University of Timișoara invites you to a new cultural event, dedicated to dialogue about memory, history and identity.

Ana Blandiana, a leading poet and essayist, an important voice of civic freedom in Romania, and Emil Hurezeanu, journalist, diplomat and former foreign minister, will bring to the forefront the theme "The Herder Prize in Memories and in History", in a dialogue about culture, memory and Europe.

The Herder Prize, awarded between 1963 and 2006 by the Alfred Toepfer Foundation, rewarded outstanding personalities of Central and Eastern European cultures, contributing to the recognition of cultural values across borders and political contexts.
The dialogue will be moderated by Mircea Mihăieș, university professor, writer and literary critic, in a conversation that promises reflection and relevant perspectives on the past and present.

Access is based on registration through the form available at this link: https://forms.gle/pyfDoT4761r2i9Th7
