International participation of the UVT Faculty of Law team in the Telders Moot Court Competition

Between June 6-11, 2022, the international final of the Telders Moot Court Competition, prestigious student scientific competition organized by the Grotius Center for International Legal Studies and the University of Leiden (Netherlands).

25 teams of law faculties from prestigious universities in Europe participated in the international stage, including the team Faculty of Law within the West University of Timișoara.

The team, made up of Bianca Iaici, Anisia Mateia, Raoul Simionescu and Marin Ugnenco (XNUMXnd year students), took fifth place in the ranking of written pleadings for plaintiffs.

The competition consisted of a simulation of the proceedings before the International Court of Justice, in which the participating teams presented the arguments of the parties in a case aimed at awarding compensation for damages caused by violating the rules of international space law, environmental law and international law of human rights.

The team of the Law Faculty of the Western University of Timișoara was prepared by the lect. university Dr. Sorina Doroga and Dr. Alexandra Burdulea, former participant in international pleading competitions.
