West University of Timişoara (UVT) announces the official opening of registrations for UVT Liberty Marathon 2026, the international road running competition that will take place in October 3–4, 2026, in Timisoara.
Now in its ninth edition, the UVT Liberty Marathon has become a landmark of urban running in western Romania, annually bringing together thousands of participants from the country and abroad. The event combines sports competition with community spirit and the promotion of an active and balanced lifestyle.
The 2026 edition will include events for all training levels, 2 km Cross Country, 10,5 km Cross Country, Half Marathon, Marathon and Relays.
In the first weeks after launch, participants benefit from the promotion super early bird, with the most advantageous registration fees of the year, starting from 80 lei.
The previous edition brought over 4.400 runners and hundreds of volunteers to the start, transforming Timisoara, for a weekend, into a city that breathes at the rhythm of running.
Registration for the UVT Liberty Marathon 2026 is open on libertymarathon.uvt.ro, and updated information can be consulted on the official pages of Facebook and Instagram of the event.
