The Hexagon of Law Faculties returns with online lectures

The Law Faculties Hexagon Lectures are a collaborative project in which professors from the faculties of the Hexagon are guests of their colleagues in the courses they give in their own faculties. This project was resumed online at the Faculty of Law of the Western University of Timișoara in the second semester of the 2019/2020 academic year and was extended in the first semester of the 2020/2021 academic year to all study years, at least two compulsory subjects from every year benefiting from the presence of important names of Romanian law.

The online Lectures project of the Hexagon of Law Faculties continues within the Faculty of Law in Timișoara and in the second semester of the academic year 2020/2021, in the same extended format.

So far, the following guests have confirmed their participation:

  • in the first year of studies, in the discipline Administrative Law. The general part - Simona Gherghina (Faculty of Law of the University of Bucharest, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Bucharest) and Ovidiu Podaru (Faculty of Law of the "Babeș-Bolyai" University Cluj-Napoca), and in the Civil Law discipline individuals - Cornelia Munteanu (Faculty of of Law of the University "Lucian Blaga" Sibiu) and Radu Rizoiu (dean of the Faculty of Law of the University of Bucharest);
  • in the second year of studies, in the discipline Institutional Law of the European Union - Iulia Motoc (Faculty of Political Sciences of the University of Bucharest, judge of the European Court of Human Rights) and Camelia Toader (Faculty of Law of the University of Bucharest, judge of the Court of Justice of the European Union), and in the Civil Law discipline. Obligations I – Dan Constantin Tudurache (Faculty of Law of the "Alexandru Ioan Cuza" University of Iași) and Bogdan Vișinoiu (Faculty of Law of the University of Bucharest);
  • in the third year of studies, in the Civil Law discipline. Special contracts – Jozsef Kocsis (Faculty of Law of the "Babeș-Bolyai" University Cluj-Napoca) and Lavinia Manuela Istrătoaie (Faculty of Law of the University of Craiova), and in the Criminal Law discipline. Special Part II – Gheorghiță Mateuț (Faculty of Law of the "Babeș-Bolyai" University Cluj-Napoca) and Andra-Roxana Trandafir (dean of the Faculty of Law of the University of Bucharest);
  • in the fourth year of studies, in the Civil Procedural Law discipline. The special part – Daniel Ghiță (vice dean of the Faculty of Law of the University of Craiova) and Paul Pop (vice dean of the Faculty of Law of the University of Bucharest), and in the Commercial Law II discipline – Răzvan Dincă (dean of the Faculty of Law of the University of Bucharest) and Ionuț-Florin Popa (Faculty of Law of "Babeș-Bolyai" Cluj-Napoca University).

The "Hexagon of Law Faculties in Romania" is an informal consortium of the law faculties of the University of Bucharest, the "Babeș-Bolyai" University Cluj-Napoca, the "Alexandru Ioan Cuza" University Iași, the "Lucian Blaga" University Sibiu, the University of Craiova and of the Western University of Timișoara.

The project will continue in the academic year 2021/2022, with new guest professors, but it also aims to be extended, in the future, to the entire undergraduate and master's curriculum.

The Faculty of Law from Timișoara thanks the professors who accepted the invitation to give lectures within this project.
