Between July 2 and September 12, 2025, Timișoara hosts the XNUMXth edition of the International Citadel Organ Festival, a new musical journey through the cultural heritage of Timișoara.
The festival is organized by the Timorgelfest Cultural Association and financed by the Timișoara Project Center, the Alber Foundation, Vivalia, the West University of Timișoara, the Faculty of Music and Theater - UVT.
The event brings together international artists and outstanding Romanian musicians, in a program that explores the versatility of the organ — nicknamed the “queen of instruments” — in unique combinations with accordion, trumpet, flute, double bass, oboe and duduk, sacred music recitals, jazz improvisation, poetry and an educational concert for children. An open-air painting workshop will also be organized in Unirii Square, led by artist Cristina Pop.
