UVT's Faculty of Arts and Design exhibits in South Korea at the international exhibition "A meeting and another journey begins"

The Faculty of Arts and Design within the Western University of Timișoara is honored to participate, between November 9-18, 2024, in the international exhibition "A meeting and another journey begins", organized in South Korea. The event will take place at the YK Gallery in Anyang - being part of the prestigious Korea-Romania International Art Exhibitions and Cultural Exchanges program, initiated in 2012.

This year's exhibition marks a new stage of collaboration between Romanian and Korean artists, strengthening friendship and cultural exchanges between the two nations. The previous edition, held in 2023 in Timișoara, took place in the Mansarda Gallery of the Faculty of Arts and Design, under the title "Infinite Journeys". This brought together over 60 artists from Romania and Korea, being held under the auspices of the "At UVT, Culture is Capital" project.

In the exhibition "A meeting and another journey begins", the Faculty of Arts and Design will be represented by works made by some of the most appreciated members of its teaching staff, including Dacian Andoni, Diana Andreescu, Dana Catona, Daniela Constantin, Cristina Daju, Laura Duduleanu, Amalia Gaita, Matei Gaspar, Gloria Grati, Gabriel Kelemen, Adriana Lucaciu, Mădălin Mărienuț, Camil Mihăescu, Liliana Mercioiu Popa, Smaranda Moldovan, Luisa Palade, Andreea Palade Flondor, Andrei Parăușanu, Filip Petcu, Bogdan Rața, Silvia Râncu Trion, Remus Rotaru, Valentina Ștefănescu and Mihai Zgondoiu.

The opening of the exhibition will take place on November 9, 2024, at 16:00 p.m., giving the Korean public the opportunity to discover contemporary artistic expressions from Romania and to explore the cultural dialogue between the two countries.

The Faculty of Arts and Design of UVT remains dedicated to the promotion of Romanian art and culture internationally, thus consolidating the role of Timișoara as an important landmark in the European and world artistic landscape.
