IMAGO Exhibition, Visions in Transition

With a rich history as the former prefecture and administrative seat of Caraș Severin County in the past centuries, the imposing building of the Lugoj Palace located in Constantin Drăgan Square no. 9 re-enters the contemporary urban circuit and on this occasion hosts the first art exhibition, open from October 15 to November 14, 2021.

It is about the exhibition of students from the Photo-Video section of the Faculty of Arts and Design at the University of West Timișoara entitled IMAGO – Visions in Transition, which presents photography works of students from the entire university course, being the visual result of the efforts made by them in collaboration with the coordinating teaching staff, university professor Dr. Stelian Acea and university lecturers Dr. Ion Gherman, Mădălin Mărienuț and Smaranda Moldovan.

The eclectic style of the exhibition is due to the multitude of artistic approaches, from analog photography to computer processing, alternating natural and artificial light, fashion and investigative portraits expressing the human need for knowledge, self-knowledge and self-transcendence. Moreover, the exhibition reflects the instructive-educational course of the students, reinforcing the belief that the Photo-Video section of the Faculty of Arts and Design Timișoara unleashes the creative spirit of the students, contributing through the coordination provided during the years of study with essential information in their evolution as artists .
