The academic community of West University of Timisoara is honored to announce that Publishing House of the West University of Timișoara was awarded the Prize for the best publishing house at the Colloquium of Contemporary Romanian Literature Publishers (cellar), 2nd edition, for the exceptional contribution to contemporary Romanian literature.
The jury was made up of leading figures in Romanian literary culture: Varujan Vosganian, Nicolae Prelipceanu, Gabriel Chifu, Liviu Capșa, Cristian Pătrășconiu and Theodor Zăvălaș. Among the participants were prestigious publishing houses such as Cartea Românească, Junimea, Neuma, Ararat and Zorio.
The event, dedicated to book lovers, contemporary literature and authentic cultural dialogue, took place in the performance hall of the Oltenița Culture Directorate and was financed by the Ministry of Culture and the Oltenița City Hall. The organization belonged to the Writers' Union of Romania, the Oltenița City Hall and the Oltenița Culture Directorate.
