Eco-Vital Banart – Culture promoters – 2022th Edition, XNUMX

The West University of Timișoara announces the implementation of the Banart Eco-Vital Project - Culture Promoters - IVth Edition, with the financial support of the Timiș County Council, in the context of the traditional series "At UVT, Culture is Capital!".

The project promotes partnerships with schools in Timiș county, to amplify the benefits and value of cooperation links. The main objective of the project is the integration of local cultural values ​​in the context of interculturality manifested in the European cultural capital – Timișoara 2023, among young people. The project's activities have a literary-cultural theme and promote creativity, education and culture:

  • Cultural mediation sessions: October 17 – November 24, 2022;
  • Creative writing workshops with the participation of writers: October 17 – November 7, 2022;
  • Poetic creation contest / Poetry contest – ARS POETICA;
  • The photography exhibition with contemporary writers from Banat, at the Faculty of Arts and Design (Mansardă, strada Oituz, no. 4, Timișoara) – October 31 – November 4, 2022;
  • OPENING: November 3, 18 p.m. – Faculty of Arts and Design (attic);
  • OPENING: November 7, 13 p.m. – Press Museum, Jimbolia;
  • Awards gala with poetry recital;
  • The launch of the magazine with the students' poems accompanied by illustrations and graphics.

UVT rector, Marilen Gabriel Pirtea: "UVT proposed a laborious cultural agenda for 2023, which also aligns with the Eco-Vital Banart project - Promotori ai culturi. Links with the pre-university environment, in a grid of activities for the promotion of literature and photographic art, are particularly important, having the role of cultivating talented young people, a generous objective that UVT proposes to the community."

The target audience to which the project is addressed is represented by the group of middle school and high school students (14-18 years old), who are passionate about literature / culture and want to develop their creativity, the ability to learn to learn, the ability to communicate, the competence of cultural expression and artistic awareness, but also critical thinking and teamwork. Students from Western University participate as volunteers in the organizing team.

The schedule of project activities

Eco-Vital Banart – Culture promoters – 2022th Edition, XNUMX

The "Eco-Vital-Bana(R)t: Promotori" project of culture is organized by the Association Institutul de Formare a Generaciolion thro Education, Culture and Art (IFGECA) in partnership with the West University of Timișoara and the schools of Timiș county.

This fall, a theme promoting culture, literature, creativity, and education is proposed. The main objective is the integration of local cultural values ​​in the context of interculturalism manifested in the cultural-European capital – Timișoara 2023 among young people aged between 14 and 18, students of Timișoara and Jimbolia high schools.

Between October 17 and November 24, students from the partner schools will participate in creative writing workshops supported by Banat writers and in cultural mediation sessions, poetry contests, but also at the opening of a photography exhibition and at the Awards Gala.

1. Bănățean National College from Timisoara

2. "Constantin Diaconovici Loga" National College from Timișoara

3. "Carmen Sylva" National Pedagogical College

4. "Nikolaus Lenau" National College from Timisoara

5. Jimbolia Technological High School, Timiș county

The activities will be followed by a poetry competition - ARSPOETICA - and the winning poems will be published in an online magazine, and the students will be rewarded with cash prizes and books.

The photo exhibition Bana(R)t: Promotori ai culture (made by Dr. Claudia Bucsai), presents the writers of the Banat Region through a series of black and white portraits. Thus, Bana(R)t becomes a visiting card of the cultural-European capital – TIMIȘOARA 2023, through the contemporary writers from Bana.

In Timișoara, the exhibition can be visited between October 31 and November 4, 2022 at the Attic Gallery of the Faculty of Arts and Design in Timișoara, 4 Oituz str., and in Jimbolia at the "Sever Bocu" Press Museum, between November 7 – November 10, 2022.

Opening of the exhibition in Timișoara: November 3, 2022 from 18:30.  

Opening of the Jimbolia exhibition: November 7, 2022 at 13 p.m.

The next two editions will present visual artists and musicians from Banat.

The action is financed by the Timiș County Council, through the TimCultura 2022 program.
