The West University of Timișoara is excited to announce the conference “Are we the last architects? From CAD to AI (and beyond)”, supported by Augustine John, renowned architect, university professor and writer, recognized for his outstanding contributions to contemporary Romanian architecture.
The event, which is part of the series "Connect to the Future"Will be held on October 31, 2024, from 16:00 p.m., in the A01 Amphitheater of UVT, and is a unique opportunity for architecture professionals, students and enthusiasts to participate in a debate about the future of architecture in the era of accelerated digitization.
Augustin Ioan is a famous personality in the field of Romanian architecture, known for the design of the new Archbishop's Cathedral in Curtea de Argeș, but also for his role as president of the Association for the Royal Heritage of Peleș. He is also a founding member of the Habitat and Art Foundation in Romania, a member of the Romanian Writers' Union and one of the most appreciated architects of the moment.
Augustin Ioan will address the ways in which the architectural profession has evolved in the era of artificial intelligence, analyzing how technologies such as CAD (Computer-Aided Design) and AI (artificial intelligence) influence and transform the process of architectural creation and execution. The discussion will be moderated by Camil Mihăescu.
