Univ. Prof. Dr. Silviu Rogobete, Honorary Professor at Stellenbosch University and Director of the Doctoral School of Philosophy, Sociology and Political Sciences of the University of West Timișoara, coordinated, between November 22 and 24, the course "Advanced Diplomacy for Peace Security and Defense - Senior Level", within the European Security and Defense College in Brussels (ESDC - European Security and Defense College).
The program was a complex one, built around the topic "Diplomacy and Global Affairs", with a group of 15 participants from several EU member states and an excellent list of lecturers, including: Gil Rostain (European External Action Service), Ioana Muresan (Romanian Minister of Foreign Affairs), Alexander Moneger (Head of Planning Div. NATO ), Călin UNGUR, Permanent Representative in the Political and Security Committee of the European Union (COPS), etc.
A similar course will be hosted, between December 11 and 14, 2023, by the West University of Timișoara.

ESDC (European Security and Defense College) provides European-level training and education programs in the field of Common Security and Defense Policy (CSDP). Its mission is to develop and promote a common understanding of CSDP policies among the general public and the military, as well as to identify and disseminate, through training activities, good practices related to various aspects of the CSDP field.
ESDC is organized as a network bringing together individuals, military institutions, colleges, academies, universities and other European bodies working in the field of security and defence.
