Based on its strategic option towards sustainability and the technologies of the future, the West University of Timișoara started the contract financed from the Modernization Fund, through the Ministry of Energy, for the project "Development of a photovoltaic plant for the production of electricity from renewable sources in order to ensure self-consumption for the West University of Timișoara, Timiș county".
The project is part of the call for projects "PFM/169/PFM_P1/NA/P1_OS1/FM_1.1 - Supporting investments in new production capacities of electricity produced from renewable sources for self-consumption for public entities" and has an implementation period between 01.08.2024 .31.07.2025 – 31.12.2026 (but not later than 12.843.600,54). The value of the financing contract accessed from the Modernization Fund is XNUMX lei, eligible entirely from the Modernization Fund.
An important stage of the implementation of this investment project is represented by the completion of the technical project. Based on it, offers will be submitted by the economic operators, who will lead the practical realization of the system of producing electricity from renewable sources. Thus, through this approach intended to contribute to increasing the level of transparency of the public procurement of the photovoltaic system, UVT announces the opening of the public consultation for the technical project of the investment (which is publicly available at this link), stage to which specialists, experts, specialized working groups, specialized companies and other technical observers are invited, who can bring proposals, observations and ideas to improve the technical solution in the project, constructive points of view that will be the basis of the start the public procurement procedure.
The views of all concerned may be forwarded by November 10 2024 (including November 10), by completing the form available by accessing this link, following that the people who will fill out the form will also be invited to a working meeting, at UVT, on November 13, 2024, meeting where the conclusions of the public consultation will be discussed.

The UVT project team is waiting with interest for proposals to improve the technical solution discussed, to ensure that the Western University of Timișoara will benefit from a qualitative technical project, for a high-performance green energy production system, with a view to UVT's self-consumption .
