The Western University of Timișoara invites you to participate in two special events, aimed at students, university students and Timișoara residents interested in economics and career development.
On Thursday, May 25 and 26, 2023, you are expected at the second edition of the event dedicated to the HR Community in the Western Region "Connecting with our Business Community. Trends in HR", but also at the "Women in Data Science Timișoara" Conference.
The first event, organized on May 25, 2023, in the time interval 9.30-12, is organized in partnership by the Western University of Timișoara and Marsh Romania, the second edition of the Conference "Connecting with our Business Community. Trends in HR” being dedicated to the HR Community in the Western Region. The event, which will take place in UVT's A11 Amphitheater, will invite HR specialists to debates, alongside representatives of those who train future employees, and starts from the premise that future generations of employees must be prepared for the future realities of the labor market.
The second event is the Conference "Women in Data Science Timisoara”, which will take place between May 25-26, 2023 (starting at 9 a.m., on both days), in the A01 Amphitheater of UVT. The event brings together outstanding women from Timișoara and from Central and Eastern Europe, who carry out a prestigious activity in the field of data science, in industry, administration, academia and civil society, with the aim of educating and inspiring young talents to pursue a career in data science. Among the confirmed attendees at this event are women who have distinguished themselves through brilliant careers, belonging to international companies such as BCR, Atos, Flex, Nokia and Bosch.
Women in Data Science (WiDS) Timișoara is part of Women in Data Science Central and Eastern Europe, but also of the annual Women in Data Science (WiDS) Conference at Stanford University. The global Women in Data Science (WiDS) movement aims to provide inspiration and education in data science globally. The event organized at UVT under the WiDS banner invites women from all sectors: the data science industry, the public sector, academia and civil society, and the sessions are focused on topics such as: data science ethics, activism, data education and research methods, smart cities , but also data science in culture.
UVT rector, Marilen Gabriel Pirtea: "We propose to the academic community from UVT and the Timisoara general public two events belonging to the sphere of economy, business, human resources management and career development. Both the conference in which the trends in HR in the western part of the country will be debated, as well as the one focused on the contribution of women in the fields that operate with scientific data, will invite valuable specialists from these fields, who will give you an image of the latest trends in economics and science, with data and examples of great interest."
