On Saturday, May 24, the memorable celebration of Graduation Ceremony dedicated to the 2025 class of the West University of Timisoara.
Held in the center of Timisoara, in Libertății Square, the event was organized by UVT with the support of its partners: BCR, NOKIA, FLEX, BRD, EVIDEN, UNICREDIT BANK, LINDE, BOSCH, LA FÂNTÂNA, ATOS, ICE DYP FACTORY, FORVIA – HELLA, ZF Liftec, Auchan and Medlife Medici's Clinics and the media partner KISS FM.
The opening ceremony was attended by over two thousand students of the UVT Class of 2025, as well as representatives from the university and its component faculties, leaders of student organizations, departmental managers, researchers and administrative staff, as well as special guests and institutional partners of UVT.
The event program included the opening preamble, marked by an artistic moment organized by the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports, the official opening of the Graduation Ceremony and the message of the UVT rector, prof.univ.dr. Marilen Gabriel Pirtea, and then the interventions of the guests, the awarding of the promotion leaders and the emotional moment of throwing the shoes. There was no shortage of artistic moments, among them the one offered by the members of the musical project "Origins - a story of rhythm", UVT alumni (Matei Ioachimescu, on the flute, Răzvan Florescu, on the vibraphone, Irina Rădulescu, on the marimba, Arthur Balogh, on the double bass and Filip Gorun on the drums). Also, the two special guests of this ceremony were the Romanian MEP Nicu Ștefănuță, Vice President of the European Parliament, UVT alumnus, together with the president of the UVT Strategic Partners Group (GPS-UVT), Mr. Adrian Bădescu, from Medlife Medici's Clinics.
Congratulations to all the artists who delighted us with moments throughout the ceremony:
– Dance and gymnastics troupe "FEFS Artist", coordinated by Cerasela Domokos, FEFS teacher & "Candy Crew" troupe, coordinated by student Alisa Șoșoi
– Bogdan Buică and Emanuel Irimia from FMT for the energetic percussion moment
– The band "Infinity Arts" accompanied by Iancu Angelo
– The band "Origins - a story of rhythm", formed by UVT alumni, active members of the Timișoara musical community: Matei Ioachimescu (flute), Răzvan Florescu (vibraphone), Irina Rădulescu (marimba), Arthur Balogh (double bass) and Philip Goron (drums)
– The Revivals band, consisting of: Sebastian Covaci (piano), Alex Ticula (vocals), Alexandra Grigoraș (vocals), Călin Stoian (electric guitar), Irinel Cosax (saxophone), Paul Timar (drums) and Sebastian Muntean (bass guitar)
UVT's 2025 class sent its message through the representatives of the graduate generation, namely the class leaders, graduate Denisa-Andreea Șelaru (Faculty of Economics and Business Administration), along with graduate David-Marian Chasciar (Faculty of Chemistry, Biology, Geography).
The moment of awarding trophies for students with exceptional results followed. The deans of the faculties of the West University of Timisoara were invited on stage, one by one, and handed out trophies to the most deserving graduates.
In the second part of May 24, festive courses were held at the level of the 11 faculties of UVT.
After this first part of the day dedicated to the UVT 2025 Graduation Ceremony, in the evening, from 20.30:XNUMX p.m., the surprises offered by the UVT Graduation Party followed: Halftime, Maya Giotea (who recently participated in the show "Britannicii au talent", obtaining the fastest "Golden Buzzer" in the history of the contest), DJ IST and Mira (increasingly known on the music scene after appearing in the second season of the talent show "Vocea României"). At the end of the event, they were admired culothe sounds of an impressive fireworks display.
