In a world where information circulates freely, but understanding seems increasingly rare, Prof. Dr. Călin-Andrei Mihăilescu proposes a lucid and deeply current reflection: how did we come to glorify ignorance?
On June 3, we invite you to a conference with a provocative title: "ILLITERATION. On the canonization of ignorance." A discussion with one of the most versatile and original Romanian-Canadian thinkers awaits you.
Călin-Andrei Mihăilescu teaches and writes in four languages about comparative literature, philosophy, aesthetics, Hispanic studies, semiotics, art history, religion, mysticism, film and much more — in an intellectual approach that combines the finesse of language with the rigor of critical thinking.
The event will be moderated by Mircea Mihăieș, renowned essayist and professor at UVT.
Admission is free, subject to availability.
