The West University of Timișoara cordially invites you to "Children's Boulevard, at UVT", an event dedicated to the celebration of International Children's Day, organized within the agenda "Green Moon @ UVT 2025".
On June 1, 2025, between 9:00 AM and 16:00 PM, UVT Alley and Vasile Pârvan Boulevard will transform into a living space, dedicated to learning through play, movement and exploration, where children become the protagonists of the day.
UVT rector, Marilen Gabriel Pirtea: "In a world where passive forms of entertainment are becoming increasingly present, UVT proposes a truly valuable alternative: we do not aim to distract the little ones, but to cultivate their curiosity, thirst for knowledge and the joy of being active - through science, sports and creativity, in a safe, inspiring and friendly environment."
From physics and chemistry experiments, microscope observations, robotics and 3D printing demonstrations, to escape rooms, fine arts, live music and clothing upcycling, the entire day will be marked by discoveries and joy.
The program includes over 20 simultaneous activities carried out by UVT faculties, together with educational, economic and civic partners, offering children the opportunity to explore:
- Science through play: "Interactive Rebus: The Environment", experiments with "fake blood" or "chemical traffic lights";
- Sport as a lifestyle: handball, basketball, football, boxing and karate competitions;
- Education through technology: robotics, programming and smart home workshops;
- Creativity in action: asphalt painting and wooden toys, as well as other artistic workshops;
- Knowledge of the past and nature: archaeology workshops for children, dendrochronological observations and studies on invertebrates.
