The West University of Timișoara reaffirms itself as a space for academic diplomacy and intercultural dialogue.

West University of Timişoara (UVT) is supporting the series again this academic year "Ambassadors in dialogue @UVT", continuing, in a new framework of dialogue, the tradition of the program "Ambassadors at UVT".

In the new edition of this series, through the involvement of the Faculty of Letters, History, Philosophy and Theology, His Excellency will honor us with the presence Paulo Cunha Alves, Ambassador of Portugal to Romania, which will propose to the Timișoara community a dialogue on the theme "Bilateral relations between Portugal and Romania. Cultural diplomacy through the promotion of the Portuguese language and culture".

We invite you to participate in this special event. Wednesday, February 25, 2026, starting at 11:30 a.m., in the A11 event amphitheater (UVT headquarters, V. Pârvan no. 4, 1st floor). The event will also include the presentation of a documentary film made by lect. dr. Vlad Dobroiu.

The event will offer participants the opportunity to discover diverse perspectives on the role of language and culture in international relations, highlighting the importance of education as a tool of cultural diplomacy and academic cooperation.
